What if my toddler throws a tantrum or refuses to smile?
Please do not stress—this is exactly why I call myself a "Chaos Coordinator!" Meltdowns happen, and it's totally okay. We move at your child's pace, take breaks when needed, and use fun games to bring out their natural smiles. The candid, in-between moments are usually the favorites anyway.
Where do you typically shoot family sessions?
I love utilizing natural light in beautiful outdoor settings! I frequently shoot along the CT Shoreline, through the rustic trails of Litchfield, and in the stunning gardens around Hartford and New Haven. I'm always happy to suggest my favorite locations or travel to yours!
Do we have to look perfectly at the camera the whole time?
Not at all. While we will absolutely grab a few classic, looking-at-the-camera portraits for the grandparents, the vast majority of our session will be spent interacting with each other. I will guide you with gentle, playful prompts to capture genuine emotion.
I am terrible at picking outfits. Can you help?
Absolutely. Coordinating family wardrobes can be the most stressful part, but I am here to help. Once you book, I'll provide styling tips and inspiration to help you choose colors and textures that complement my warm, natural editing style perfectly.
Can we bring our family dog to the session?
Yes, please! I am a massive dog lover. Pets are such an important part of the family, and they add to the wonderful, joyful chaos of a session. Just let me know in advance so we can choose a pet-friendly location.
What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor shoot?
We embrace the flexibility! If the weather forecast calls for heavy rain or severe conditions, we will simply reschedule your session to the nearest mutually agreeable date. I always keep a few backup dates open for this exact reason.
