Will you help us pose? I feel so awkward in front of a camera!
Yes, of course! That's exactly why you're hiring a professional. With over 10 years of experience (including 5 years assisting top wedding and portrait photographers), I know exactly how to guide you. I actually make it a point to get in front of the camera myself at least once a year so I can remember exactly how it feels to be a client. I will direct you naturally so you look and feel your absolute best.

What should we wear to our session?
I make styling super easy! I have curated Amazon lists that I share with clients based on their favorite colors. I usually recommend starting with a beautiful neutral base and adding an accent color. Once you book, I will work with you directly to customize outfit choices so your whole family looks cohesive and feels incredibly comfortable.

Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place almost anywhere! I have lots of local parks I love to use for beautiful outdoor photos. I also have access to a few gorgeous rental studios (additional rental fees apply), and I have my own small in-home studio specifically tailored for headshots and milestone sessions.

Can we bring our pets to the session?
YES!!! I love pets. I have three dogs of my own at home, and I am completely comfortable around all animals. Bring them along to add to the beautiful chaos!

What if it rains on the day of our outdoor session?
We live in New England… which means the weather apps are usually wrong! We don't really know what it'll look like until the day of. Because of this, I don't call off sessions until the day before or the morning of (especially if we have little ones and it might be colder than usual). If it is truly raining, we will absolutely reschedule. If it's just lightly sprinkling, we can proceed if you are comfortable with it!

How far in advance should we book?
Here is a quick breakdown of my ideal booking timeline:
  • Maternity: Book so we can shoot when you are around 30 weeks along.
  • Newborn: Please let me know your due date so I can pencil it in! Once mom, dad, and baby are home and settled, we will secure the exact session date.
  • Milestone / First Birthday: Reach out about 2 months in advance.
  • Weddings & Elopements: Up to 2 years in advance.

Do you offer mini sessions or seasonal specials?
Yes, I do! Here is a peek at my current lineup for 2026:
  • Mommy & Me Minis: Ready for Mother's Day!
  • Spring Minis: Usually held in April.
  • Baby Ducks & Chicks: Brand new for May 2026!
  • Summer Beach Minis: Brand new for August 2026!
  • Fall Minis: Held at a gorgeous local tree farm or park.

Do you travel outside of Connecticut?
I travel all over! My passport is completely up to date and ready for all of your destination wedding and travel needs.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, payment plans are absolutely offered! Please note, however, that a full, non-refundable retainer is required upfront to officially secure your date on my calendar.

What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule?
If you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, I ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice so I can plan my schedule accordingly.
  • Cancellations: The retainer is non-refundable.
  • Rescheduling: With proper notice, your retainer can easily be transferred to your new session date. Please note: if you are more than 10 minutes late for a scheduled mini session, your session will need to be rescheduled.
